Wonder

Sparking Wonder

The preschool Wonder views children as fully competent, capable individuals who learn through child-led investigation. Rooted in the Reggio Emilia pedagogical philosophy, the school fosters spaces that spark curiosity and deep engagement. When they came to TEC for a rebrand, our challenge was to build a visual system directly reflecting this philosophy of hands-on discovery.

The conceptual breakthrough came from the students themselves. The school presented the new name to the classrooms to see what wonder meant to them. During a session, four-year-old Julian drew a child inside a larger circle, explaining that the orange circle was what the child was thinking right now, and the green line was what he builds next.

We used Julian’s drawing as the foundation for the logo, transforming the letter O in Wonder into two overlapping circles representing a child interacting with their world. By letting the students dictate the visual mark, we created a clear narrative that instantly connects with families looking for a thoughtful, natural education.
