Breakthrough Should Shine

In the semiconductor industry, scanning electron microscopes are the gold standard for quality control. But they traditionally required closed, vacuum environments, creating massive operational bottlenecks.

AirSEM changed that by achieving an unprecedented one million times magnification in open air. For an early-stage microscopy startup, the technology was a monumental achievement. The challenge was that deep scientific breakthroughs can easily fly past the untrained eye unappreciated.

Their leadership turned to TEC to help them capture the attention of long-term investors and customers. Our goal was to fuse this high-level technical milestone with a direct, practical connection to the actual images their technology generates.

We built a vibrant visual system inspired by the intricate shapes found under magnification. Specimen-inspired curves and flowing gradients mimic the organic lines of real samples, while a bright color palette adds a sharp, modern edge to the traditional black-and-white imagery the microscopes produce.

By translating deep scientific precision into an unmistakable visual narrative, we gave investors a clear reason to look closer.
